Hip hop star Lil Wayne was arrested and detained by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas on Friday after authorities found marijuana on his tour buses.
Lil Wayne, real name DeWayne Carter, Jr and his entourage were all detained after drug sniffing dogs found the marijuana on the two tour buses.
According to Agent Joe Trevino, the buses were en route to Laredo, Texas, from a concert stop in Hidalgo state.
Lil wayne, who plead guilty to charges of second degree felony criminal weapons possession and criminal possession of a loaded weapon, following his 2007 arrest in New York, is scheduled to start his jail sentence in February according to court papers.
